The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been directly linked to arming and funding Sudan’s RSF militia — responsible for genocide, mass atrocities, and the displacement of millions
UAE’s direct hand in the atrocities have been extensively documented:

Owns Careem, UAE's top rideshare service which is Dubai-based

Renewed partnership deal with Emirates until 2028. Has codeshare agreements with Zionist regime’s El Al Airlines.

Locks consumer into Qantas ecosystem, and supports many businesses on the BDS sanction list

Emirates’ & Qantas’ biggest competitor

Major regional airline with significant coverage into Africa and Middle East

Numerous connections to MENA region

Qantas’ biggest competitor in Australia

Including DiDi and Shebah (women only rideshare)
Nearly all of Sudan’s gold “exports” go to the UAE. One study found that for many African countries, large volumes of undeclared gold exports go to the UAE (especially via Dubai).
Largest gold market but no gold mines? In 2023 alone, The UAE was reported to have imported 17 tonnes of gold from Sudan valued over $1 Billion.
Prepared by Decolonize Sudan, this toolkit sheds light on how international corporations and financial institutions – particularly those connected to the United Arab Emirates – are fueling violence in Sudan through trade, weapons transfers, and gold extraction linked to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Check out the toolkit to learn how to disrupt the flow of money, weapons, and resources that enable genocide – and stand in solidarity with the Sudanese people’s fight for justice and peace.
